I was drawn to the Champions Programme particularly because of the rotational structure. I hope to be in a management position in the future and I believe that this program is the ideal stepping stone to achieving this. I also like the fact that even as new graduates, the champions are given project-based assignments and a high level of responsibility.

Upon my acceptance into the program, I was placed at ANSA Coatings Limited, which is a part of the Group’s Construction Sector. As my background is in engineering, I hope to use my technical skill set to contribute positively to the growth of the subsidiary, particularly in the areas of innovation, production and overall efficiency. While ANSA Coatings Ltd has many years of experience in the industry, with the rapid increase in technology, there are always ways to improve processes to save time and money.
While I believe that I will be an asset to my subsidiary, I also know that there is a lot to gain from my placement in the Champions programme. In working as a part of the different departments within ANSA Coatings Ltd, I hope to gain a detailed understanding of the company and how to manage it. I hope to sharpen and expand my technical skills-set, as well as my soft skills, and to learn as much as possible from the people I work with, as they are the company’s greatest resource.
I am excited to be a part of this programme because I know that it will have a huge influence on my life both professionally and personally. From a professional standpoint, in addition to all the knowledge I will gain, I believe that this programme will allow me to network with many influential industry experts and it will create many future opportunities. In the area of personal development, I believe that the Champions Programme will increase my communication skills, my self-discipline and make me a better leader. I can already see that the group’s ‘Together, we are Family’ motto is extended to my subsidiary and I am truly excited to be a part of it.
