The Group provides employee assistance under its Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which provides counselling and guidance to all our employees and their families on a voluntary and confidential basis, in times of need. Our Group companies engage the services of an independent EAP service provider for this purpose.
The Programme is administered by Group and Sector HR Departments.
The Group recognises that a wide range of problems not directly associated with one’s job can affect an employee adversely. In most cases, the employee will be able to address these situations either independently or with the assistance of their Line Manager. However, there will be cases where professional assistance may be required and the Programme is provided to facilitate the employee in accessing this assistance. In this regard, the Group emphasises the importance of being proactive and of targeting areas that are known to pose challenges:
- Family Life
- Finances and Financial Planning
- Alcohol and Substance Abuse
- Depression, Anxiety and Emotional Issues
The Programme respects the individual’s privacy and need for confidentiality.
