Job Summary:

• The Business Application Lead plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the organization’s business applications portfolio, with a primary focus on CRM and ERP systems as well as Order Management Systems (OMS). This key position involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of these applications, from selection and implementation to ongoing optimization. The Business Application Lead works collaboratively with multiple business units to ensure that the deployed applications align with organizational goals and cater to user requirements.

Job Description:

• Lead the selection process for new business applications in conjunction with relevant stakeholders and ensure the organization acquires the most suitable applications to meet its evolving needs to streamline operations.
• Manage the implementation and integration of business applications across different departments by achieving seamless integration and alignment of applications with departmental processes to enable cross-functional collaboration and improve data flow.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors during implementation and ongoing support by facilitating effective communication and problem-solving between the organization and external partners to ensure smooth implementation and sustained performance of business applications.
• Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to identify process bottlenecks and propose solutions through application functionalities by enhancing operational efficiency.
• Oversee application updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting, coordinating with the IT team to minimize business disruption to ensure that applications remain up-to-date, secure, and operational.
• Provide training and documentation to users for new and existing applications by equipping employees with the knowledge and resources to effectively foster user proficiency.
• Maintain a high understanding of business workflows to ensure alignment between business needs and application functionalities.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of business applications by establishing measurable criteria for assessing application performance to provide data-driven insights and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with the cybersecurity team to ensure the applications meet compliance and security standards by safeguarding sensitive data in adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing applications to identify opportunities for improvement and reduce redundancy and enhance efficiency.
• Perform all other relevant duties as assigned by Sector IT Manager to ensure optimum operation of the business and support the broader needs of the organization.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree in ICT, Business Management, Data Analytics, and/0r Project Management
• 5 years in a similar position
• University level Mathematics and Algorithms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate), Microsoft Dynamics 365FO (Intermediate) and Salesforce Cloud (Intermediate)
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
