Job Summary
- To oversee and ensure the strategic development of the brand portfolio and resources as needed to achieve business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and achieves long-term strategic and annual business/tactical marketing plans.
- Conducts market research to determine consumer and category trends.
- Writes creative briefs for the development of communication campaigns, reviews, amends and approves all creatives, communications and packaging.
- Develops the A&P breakout by Brand for the annual working and non-working expenditure.
- Works alongside partner brands in the execution of the key campaigns.
- Negotiates key sponsorships and A&P investments and approves the executions that support these sponsorships.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of key channels and trade issues and develops plans to address, improve achievement of AOP volume.
- Ensures career development, training and succession planning for all team members.
- Oversees and facilitates the development of marketing staff as well as the appropriately planned resourcing of the marketing department.
- Assists with the achievement of company-wide objectives, as well as that of export and sister breweries.
- Attends production and innovation meetings and leads innovation discussions in the development of new and existing brands.
- Develops, submits and presents monthly reports on department activities, achievement of objectives and plans.
- Develops and conducts presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Contributes as a member of the Company’s senior management team to wider objectives.
- Performs any other related duties as may be required by the job function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related field.
- At least ten (10) years’ progressive, commercial experience in Marketing and/or Sales Brand Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of MS Office and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact and present to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to delegate resources and assignments based on capabilities etc.
- Leadership skills.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills.
