Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a six-month contract. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and a solid understanding of Barbados’ labor landscape. You will play a crucial part in supporting the HR Department’s daily operations and enhancing employee engagement.
Job Description:
- Employee Support:
- Respond promptly to HR inquiries from employees and management.
- Administer employee surveys and coordinate focus groups.
- Documentation and Administration:
- Prepare HR documents, including employment contracts and job letters.
- Organize and archive both digital and physical records.
- Assist with clerical functions, including processing group medical insurance forms.
- Engagement and Relations:
- Organize and coordinate employee engagement activities.
- Assist with union negotiations and support employee relations efforts.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to assist the HR team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Mature disposition with a commitment to confidentiality and a willingness to tackle challenges.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
