Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a six-month contract. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and a solid understanding of Barbados’ labor landscape. You will play a crucial part in supporting the HR Department’s daily operations and enhancing employee engagement.

Job Description:

  • Employee Support:
    • Respond promptly to HR inquiries from employees and management.
    • Administer employee surveys and coordinate focus groups.
  • Documentation and Administration:
    • Prepare HR documents, including employment contracts and job letters.
    • Organize and archive both digital and physical records.
    • Assist with clerical functions, including processing group medical insurance forms.
  • Engagement and Relations:
    • Organize and coordinate employee engagement activities.
    • Assist with union negotiations and support employee relations efforts.
    • Perform additional tasks as needed to assist the HR team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Mature disposition with a commitment to confidentiality and a willingness to tackle challenges.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
