Job Summary:

• The incumbent will increase reliability and reduce costs in areas for all equipment and supporting services and processes on the plant. They will also ensure regulation of spares purchasing and use to achieve required inventory levels and plant reliability.

Job Description:

• Employing the optimum combination of maintenance best practices (Preventative Maintenance, Reliability Centered Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance) best suited for our needs and constraints to achieve company goals.
• Combining relevant supply chain management and purchasing strategies to ensure continued reliable operation while not increasing inventory level beyond desired limits.
• Development and re-training of all support staff to advance the concepts/principles of reliability and competence.
• Participating in and being a resource for plant upgrades and new ventures.
• Ensuring performance objectives are met by all subordinate staff.
• Ensuring regulatory requirements are completed as required.
• Supporting effective communication via the accurate and timely completion of all relevant forms and other documents.
• Ensuring that safety practices, policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to by your staff
• Conduct performance appraisals on staff as required.
• Assist with annual budgeting and strategic planning.
• Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Operations Manager or Designate.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• A certificate in Supervisory Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrate a sense of orderliness and cleanliness regarding equipment.
