Job Summary
- To provide parts sales assistance and service to internal and retail customers regarding parts and accessories in an efficient and effective manner, while maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for all parts sales transactions to internal and external customers.
- Manage all methods of communication for queries and requests eg. email/telephone etc.
- Greet all customers promptly and courteously and assist them in identifying their parts and accessory needs and any complimentary/associated parts.
- Additionally, to prepare quotations and estimates for parts and accessories as requested.
- Responsible for entering Special Order requests.
- Collection of any outstanding customer payments.( pertains to charge accounts).
- Assist in the resolution of customer complaints and concerns to their satisfaction.
- Ensure the sale of all special orders within the specified time frame in the SOR policy.
- Expeditiously handle all parts returns and credits.
- Record all lost sales in the DMS.
- Similarly, to participate in all stock counts and cycle count activities.
- Cooperate with Service department personnel to expedite vehicle repairs, especially in the area of the pre-picking of parts.
- To ensure that the work areas and counters are clean and uncluttered and assist where necessary in setting up merchandising displays.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Perform any duties which may or may not be related to the above as requested by the Manager.
Job Standards
- Efficient and accurate use of the parts catalogue systems.
- Good working knowledge of the products
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Accuracy in checking and recording data.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Accuracy in the checking of all items and detailing all relevant information.
- Good communication skills in listening to the customers and defining their problems.
- Ensure the sale of all special orders within the specified time frame in the SOR policy.
- Ability to prioritise daily tasks in order of urgency.
- Initiative in the performance of daily job-related tasks
- Timeliness in the presentation of any data as requested by the Manager
- Timeliness in following up and resolving customers’ queries and concerns
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 CXC passes, 6 units of CAPE passes & two years experience in automotive sales
- To be considered for this position you will need to;
- have experience within automotive wholesale or dealership, interpersonal skills are an asset and communicate clearly and accurately to Sales and General Manager
