Payroll Analyst

Job Summary:

  • The Payroll Analyst encompasses the timely and accurate processing of various payrolls in compliance with governmental regulations. The incumbent upholds the integrity of the payroll system by identifying, documenting, and testing system issues. The Payroll Analyst delivers excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description:

The Payroll Analyst duties include:

  • Process monthly and fortnightly payrolls.
  • Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other third-party
    deductions.
  • Submit statutory deductions to BIR and NIB on time.
  • Conduct payroll reconciliations (NIS, Health Surcharge, BIR, clearing accounts).
  • Prepare and enter data for payroll journals.
  • Submit non-statutory deductions to various insurances promptly.
  • Handle and resolve payroll queries.
  • Reconcile and submit TD4’s.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as banks and clients.
  • Maintain and manage payroll system files and reports.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of Payroll.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger and bank accounts monthly.
  • Adhere to payroll procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and verify payroll exception reports.
  • Reconcile all payroll accounts for fiscal year-end audit.
  • Post month-end payroll journal entries, including accruals, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Participate in payroll projects as a team member.
  • Uphold payroll system integrity by identifying and testing system issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance Business Management or a related field.
  • Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) Level 2 Certification.
  • A minimum of two (2) – three (3) years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Digital Literacy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate).
  • Collective Agreements (Intermediate).
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software (Intermediate).
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) (Intermediate).
  • General Ledger (GL) (Intermediate).
  • Microsoft Excel (Intermediate).
  • Payroll Legislation (Intermediate).
  • Tax Legislation (Intermediate).
