Job Summary

As a key member of the ANSA McAL Construction Sector – Continuous Excellence (CE) Team, the QMS (Quality Management System) Lead is responsible for the effective implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the organization’s Quality Management System for the Construction Sector. This dynamic role will drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean methodologies, and support business transformation while fostering a culture of continuous excellence across all the subsidiaries in the Construction Sector.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the organization’s QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Regulate, review and update QMS policies, procedures, and processes with all functional managers to ensure continued compliance and implementation of best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with QMS standards and ensure effective closure of nonconformities via the management and effective close out of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Define, set up and maintain the Sector Document Management System to ensure all documents and records required for the effective functioning of the QMS are maintained in all subsidiaries whilst fulfilling the requirements defined under ISO 9001:2015 or any other quality standards identified.
  • Maintain the reporting systems for management review and the continual improvement of the QMS through corrective action and preventive action.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts through RCA, DMAIC, Gemba Walks, Kaizen etc., business processes development, and integrated quality management system implementation.
  • Collaborate with Business Units to identify and map independent/integrated processes and transactions according to QMS standards.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for improvement within process maps within Business Units.
  • Embed a culture of continuous excellence through promoting awareness of quality standards and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish controls to mitigate quality-related risks.
  • Manage all subsidiary risk registers within the Construction Sector.
  • Administer and monitor all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) for compliance.
  • Train employees on QMS requirements, policies, and procedures within the Construction Sector.
  • Provide, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health of the QMS
  • Provide and record performance metrics for flagged procedures within Functional Business Units.
  • Participates in Business Process Optimization exercises by assessing, re-defining, and establishing process flows and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure).
  • Contribute to new business initiatives, projects, and review and communicate the impact on QMS.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of a ‘best-in-class’ continuous improvement strategy.
  • Hold quarterly audit performance meetings within the business and with Certification Bodies
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on QMS performance, audit findings, auditor performance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support management review by preparing data and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external Auditors and auditing bodies to ensure effective external audits as per schedule.
  • Prepare reports or other data as required by the Sector Project & CE Manager or Managing Director.

Job Qualifications

  • BSc Engineering, Quality, Business Management, Project Management, or other related fields
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in the related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Belt certification is preferred
  • ISO 9001 Audit Lead
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
