Job Summary:
- The candidate is required to perform telephone switchboard, and receptionist and relief cashier duties for the company in a professional, efficient and effective manner.
Job Description:
- To operate switchboard in the processing of incoming and outgoing calls.
- Maintain up to date records of telephone extensions and other company telephone numbers.
- To handle information calls, whilst transferring calls to respective departments.
- To ensure that telephone messages are professionally documented and distributed in a timely manner.
- To perform receptionist duties by greeting the public and furnishing direction and information.
- To assist with Customer service-related activities/exercises, when required.
- To receive packages and distribute correspondence, packages in a timely manner.
- To receive payments from Service, Sales and Parts customers within company’s security and cash
operating guidelines. - To prepare Bank Analysis, balance cash holdings and do banking on a daily basis.
- To ensure that all supporting documents/vouchers etc are received, authorized and maintained for record keeping purposes.
- To greet customers promptly and courteously whilst ensuring that a high level of customer service is
maintained at all times. - To provide basic explanation of charges to customers.
- To ensure Repair Order is complete and Invoices are accurate.
- To manage and balance Petty Cash on a daily basis.
- To confirm method of payment and check customer’s credit as necessary.
- To perform any duties which may or may not be related to the above as requested by the Manager.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of the operation of a telephone switchboard.
- A clear and pleasant voice and manner of speaking.
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
- Good problem solving, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
