JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Officer is responsible for managing the complete sales cycle within the assigned branch of ANSA Bank Limited, including customer acquisition, loan origination, underwriting, and servicing. The role demands a focus on achieving both individual and branch-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing to business growth while ensuring superior customer satisfaction, rigorous risk management, and full compliance with regulatory standards. The Sales Officer will be expected to actively promote ANSA Bank’s full suite of products and services while driving operational excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management: 
  • Proactively source and acquire new business through networking, referrals, and outreach activities. 
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, enhancing customer loyalty and driving repeat business. 
  • Deepen client relationship by Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional banking products and services to clients, thereby maximizing wallet share of customer. 
  • Identify opportunities to sell multi-products to each customer within the Financial Services Sector.   
  • Where possible, develop client relationship to ensure primacy. 
  1. Loan Origination & Underwriting: 
  • Review and evaluate loan applications for completeness, creditworthiness, and alignment with internal lending policies and procedures. 
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis, including assessment of credit reports, financial statements, and borrower profiles. 
  • Make informed loan recommendations based on the risk profile and financial needs of applicants. 
  • Ensure prompt and accurate processing of loan applications to meet established branch and organizational targets. 
  • Effectively communicate with applicants, ensuring they submit the required documents for loan approval in a timely manner. 
  1. Target Achievement & KPIs: 
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. 
  • Contribute to branch performance metrics such as new customers onboarded, deposit growth, loan growth, and customer retention. 
  • Regularly track and report personal progress against KPIs to management, offering insights and recommendations to improve performance. 
  1. Risk Management & Compliance: 
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and lending policies to mitigate risks and ensure legal and procedural compliance. 
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes, industry best practices, and market trends to ensure the bank’s practices are current and competitive. 
  1. Branch Performance: 
  • Actively contribute to the branch’s overall performance objectives, such as customer satisfaction, loan and deposit growth, and profitability. 
  • Collaborate with branch team members to foster a culture of high performance, customer service excellence, and cross-functional support. 
  • Work closely with the Customer Centricity Manager to ensure alignment of personal goals with branch-wide initiatives and business objectives. 
  1. Reporting & Administration: 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client communications. 
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on business development activity, pipeline status, and performance metrics. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to loan documentation, regulatory filings, and the timely submission of documentation. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred). 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking, or financial services. 
  • Basic knowledge of lending products, underwriting standards, and credit evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. 
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
