Job Summary
- Leads the Sales and Operations Planning Process across all breweries in the Beverage Sector by ensuring robust business processes and coaching of Planners. Directs, controls and leads Supply Planning of finished goods and materials (raw and packaging) to maintain optimal inventory levels within agreed Stock Policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Sales and Operations Planning:
- Assist in defining, standardizing and implementing demand planning best practices and business processes across the organization.
- Ensures the analysis of sales forecast and historical sales data to support timely preparation of the rolling sales forecast monthly.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume rolling forecast; ensure gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed, and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with Innovation, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing and Finance to ensure that critical information is available for review at the S&OP process meetings and to establish company’s Supply plan.
- Lead the S&OP management reviews, prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and trade offs, and prepare escalations for Executive Review where appropriate.
- Supports the innovation process by including new materials into the inventory portfolio and pursuing timely deliveries to meet project timelines.
- Supply Planning:
- Develops and implements policies and procedures relating to Stocking Inventory and prepares proposals for changes when necessary.
- Conducts annual review of Inventory Stock Policy and obtains consensus with SSCD.
- Develops and maintains the effective use of MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) software.
- Oversees the management of on-site inventory (raw and packaging).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of ERP and Database programs.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills and ability to interface with a variety of audiences.
- Knowledge of Brewery practices will be an asset.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc. Degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Management/Accounting.
- Advanced Certification in Inventory/Logistics will be an asset.
- Certification in Supply Chain Planning will be an asset.
- CIPS Certification will be an asset.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
