Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehousing and distribution functions at the organization’s facilities, ensuring compliance with legislation, safety standards, and company policies. This role requires strong supervision and decision-making skills to manage inbound and outbound inventory effectively.
Job Description:
- Supervise inventory management and controls within the warehouse.
- Oversee the receipt, verification, and recording of incoming inventory.
- Ensure inventory quantities and locations are consistently updated in the system.
- Investigate and report on damaged inventory on a case-by-case basis.
- Record incorrect inventory received and escalate to the Assistant Warehouse Floor Manager.
- Supervise the dispatch of inventory.
- Maintain accurate stock records through thorough documentation and stock-taking.
- Identify and report variances, damaged, or obsolete stock.
- Uphold the stock counting schedule and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Conduct comprehensive quarterly counts of all departments, including parts and service.
- Ensure all items are stored, labeled, and organized correctly for efficient counting.
- Verify that inventory transferred to the logistics/dispatch team is accurate.
- Monitor inbound inventory for proper packing and system updates.
- Assess the productivity of warehouse personnel and develop KPIs for performance evaluation.
- Manage absenteeism and misconduct according to company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of inventory and delivery requests.
- Collaborate with management to identify cost efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Secure all company assets.
- Train warehouse staff on their responsibilities, including OSHA requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Assistant Warehouse Floor Manager/Logistics Manager as needed.
- Adhere to Group processes and policies outlined in the ANSA McAL Blue Book.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- CIPS Certificate.
- Certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics/Inventory Control, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
