Job Summary:
- The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehousing and distribution operations within the organization’s facilities. This role entails managing inbound and outbound inventory while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The Warehouse Supervisor will demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making abilities to maintain effective logistical oversight.
Job Description:
- Assist in the overall management of inventory and control processes within the warehouse.
- Supervise the receipt, verification, and documentation of all incoming inventory.
- Ensure inventory quantities and locations are accurately managed and reflected in the system at all times.
- Investigate and report on damaged inventory on a case-by-case basis.
- Record any incorrect inventory received and submit these cases to the Assistant Warehouse Floor Manager for follow-up.
- Oversee the dispatch of all inventory items.
- Maintain accurate stock records by ensuring all paperwork and electronic systems are completed and that inventory is accounted for based on stock-taking results.
- Identify and investigate any discrepancies and report on damaged or obsolete stock.
- Uphold the count schedule (weekly, cycle, quarterly, and year-end) and ensure reconciliation within the allotted time.
- Conduct comprehensive (wall-to-wall) quarterly counts of all departments, including parts and services.
- Ensure all items are stored in designated locations, properly labeled, sorted by category, and packed in an orderly manner, with barcodes, model, and serial information visible for counting.
- Verify that the inventory transferred to the logistics/dispatch team consists of the correct items.
- Ensure that all products received from the inbound team are accurately packed in their designated locations and reflected in the system immediately.
- Monitor and report on warehouse personnel productivity, develop KPIs, and evaluate performance.
- Manage absenteeism and misconduct according to company procedures, including issuing written reprimands as necessary.
- Ensure that all requests for inventory and product deliveries are fulfilled accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with management and staff to identify cost efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Safeguard all company assets.
- Facilitate and participate in training warehouse personnel on their responsibilities, including OSHA compliance.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Assistant Warehouse Floor Manager/Logistics Manager as required.
- Adhere to the Group’s processes and policies as outlined in the ANSA McAL Blue Book.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- CIPS Certificate.
- Relevant certification or qualifications in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehouse, Logistics, or Inventory Control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
