Position: Change Lead

Job Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for leading the people side of change for this transformation initiative, moving impacted audiences from the current business state to the desired future state as quickly and efficiently as possible. This position plays a key role on the project team, working cross-functionally with the project manager, subject matter experts (SMEs), business, data and technical leads, as well as with key sponsors and other stakeholders, to implement change management best practices. To ensure optimal results are achieved, the Change Lead will work to drive higher proficiency and faster adoption of the changes impacting internal and external stakeholders.

 

Job Description:      Development of a Change Management Strategy and Plan for the project, based on forecasts of change impacts and costs, and in consideration of optimal brand preservation and staff satisfaction. Engage with and assist business leaders with impact assessments for the project. Provide oversight for the review and re-design of business processes associated with the specific technology changes brought about by the technology implementation. Craft and implement effective communication strategies to promote and obtain buy-in from all project stakeholders, liaising with Corporate Communications and Marketing to align messaging. Provide oversight for the development and delivery of end user and specialist function training as relevant to the changes associated with the project. Provide input to Human Resources on any changes to or addition of job roles and/or organization structure changes arising from the project implementation, and as necessary, assist with relevant communication with Union representatives. Define appropriate metrics and throughout the project lifespan, measure and report on change adoption rates and project outcomes. Post project, report on the attainment of the project’s originally forecasted business outcomes and participate in lessons learnt sessions.   Attend various steering committee, PMO and other project related meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in one or more of the fields of computer science, process reengineering, business systems analysis, project management or other associated discipline
  •  Certifications in technology-related and project management disciplines would be an asset.
