Job Summary: Assures the regulatory and contractual compliance of pension plans through the maintenance of databases, preparation and payments of benefits and providing professional support to all stakeholders.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the securing, protecting and proper handling of all confidential matter.
- Maintaining the membership, contributions and benefit databases of pension plans. Record contribution income, benefit outgo and fee payments for a pension plan’s Revenue and Expenditure accounts.
- Preparation of retirement, termination and death benefit calculations and packages for pension plans.
- Responsible for the securing, protecting and proper handling of all confidential matter.
- Preparation of periodic membership, contribution and activity reports for the company, clients and trustees. Maintaining the payroll databases on the company’s payroll software systems, providing periodic reports and reconciliations.
- Perform basic income tax computations that are consistent to income tax regulations.
- File correspondence, completed forms, and other pension plan documents in an organized and efficient manner.
- Adherence to the policies and regulations of the company.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Associate degree from an accredited college/university in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Completion of LOMA’s SRI 111 and SRI 121 courses would be an asset.
- Experience:
- At least one year experience
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry would be an asset.
