Position: Sales and Operations Assistant

Job Summary: Main responsibilities will be to assist the warehouse supervisor in various back office/ warehouse activities and to assist our front office operations via handling customer service orders

Job Description:

  • Take purchase orders from our customers.
  • Deal with and solving any company related problems a customer may have.
  • Deal with all other staff members in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Accept responsibility for and maintain the Cash and Petty Cash in good order.
  • Assist walk-in customers.
  • Use the company’s computer system to enter customer orders, print invoices, etc. as required
  • Keep all company records and documentation required by this company.
  • Assist with the picking of orders when needed to serve a walk-in customer quickly or when requested by management.
  • Answer the telephone in a pleasant was always striving to make the customer feel at ease. Be always prepared to take an order or add to an order from a customer.
  • Learn the products that we carry so that you can inform our customers quickly and confident in your knowledge of the products, selection and pricing.
  • Perform any other reasonable task requested by your supervisor.
  • Abide by all the company’s rules and regulations, inclusive of the Ansa Mcal Group policies
  • Use all company equipment as required to perform your job.
  • Participate in the annual stock taking process (as applicable).
  • Keep the warehouse in a safe manner for yourself and your fellow employees.
  • Keep your assigned work area/ desk clean ensuring that inventory is not damaged or lost.
  • Keep the shelves packed in keeping with the company’s norms and maintain good stock rotation.
  • Do all in your power to eliminate loss of inventory due to theft, errors or damage.
  • Assist the warehouse supervisor in dispatching the delivery drivers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all records required by the company
  • Ensure that all company assets are secure and properly maintained.
  • Pick and pack all customer purchase orders, design and produce ink stamps, and assemble furniture, chairs, desks (if required.)
  • Unload and pack away all shipments arriving into the company’s warehouse
  • Small repairs and other odd jobs required for the smooth operation of the warehouse and the company will constitute part of your duties.
  • Assist with the archiving of company files/ records/ documents etc.
  •  Liaise with our warehouse staff to ensure that all deliveries are made to our customers quickly and accurately. From time to time you may be required to go into the warehouse to get small items for a customer.
