Position: Network Technician

Location: South Guanapo, Arima / Trinidad and Tobago

Job Summary: 

As a key member of the ANSA Coatings Limited’s IT Team, the Network Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently carrying out the required technical duties in relation to IT support functions in the company. The incumbent must be able to provide support to ensure the IT support functions are executed.

Job Description:

  • Respond to reports from all ACL staff regarding computer problems, installations and general assistance.
  • Assist staff in the use of hardware and software.
  • Ensure timely and accurate generation and execution of all IT operations; identifying and recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment on a regular basis.
  • Initiate steps to prevent user problems.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of, and perform all duties in accordance with procedures as per ISO 9001 standards and the Company’s Quality Systems Manual.
  • Participate in Training and Development activities as required.
  • Maintain, support, and promote a safe work environment while complying with all of the Company’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct other related duties as outlined by the IT Manager.
  • Conduct any other related duties that may be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Compliance with ANSA McAL Group Policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1- 2 years’ experience in an IT Environment
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 2000/XP Professional/Server 2003, Microsoft Office Suite, and Remote Troubleshooting.
