Position: Business Unit Head/Marketing Manager

Location: Chaguanas / Trinidad and Tobago


The Business Unit Head/Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programmes and procedures to drive the market growth of a portfolio of brands including but not limited to: product distribution, advertising and promotion, market research etc.


  • Develop and implement Marketing plans for all products
  • Liaise with the Sales Management and BM team to assist with the development of Plans for customers
  • Ensure that the specific sales and brand objectives for each brand within the portfolio are achieved
  • Actively seek out new opportunities within the current portfolio
  • Oversee the Management and co-ordination of all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
  • Manage the marketing AP budget
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
  • Ensure that the Marketing Plans are effective to result in Sales and G.P. Budgets being achieved
  • Maintain Supplier receivables and manage the Accrual as outlined by company policy
  • Maintain optimum stock levels to maximize sales
  • Actively seeks ways to reduce SMS where necessary
  • Work closely with Suppliers to build brands
  • Coach and implement strong development plans for direct team members


  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Marketing or Management related)
  • A Post Graduate degree (MBA) will be considered an asset
  • Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • A good understanding of financial management and budgetary control
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in Marketing Management
  • Experience with product launches
