Position: Elevator Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role the occupant will be a Senior Manager in the ANSA Construction Sector. The Elevator Operations Manager will have primary responsibility and total oversight of ABS’s Elevator Business. In doing so this role will build and strengthen relationships with Contractors, Designers, Architects and other technical groups in the Local and Regional Construction Sector to build a demand pipeline and convert bids into revenue as well as managing a team of individuals to successfully install new units and provide maintenance service for existing units . To accomplish this the Elevator Operations Manager will manage two arms of the business; Sales and Project Installation & Maintenance Service; to focus specifically on the growth of all product lines under the Elevator Department as well as executing installation projects and providing maintenance service with a focus on growing the Service Pipeline as well. Key remits would be to focus on the capability build of the team with respect to technical competence in design and in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance , customer satisfaction and through working with various internal teams to significantly improve brand awareness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve monthly sales and financial KPI’s as part of sector overall monthly targets
    Develop and oversee customer retention campaigns as it relates to maintenance contracts
    Work with Sector personnel to continuously utilize innovative technology to improve performance
    Manage budget and hit or exceed monthly quotas
    Provide input to assist with developing annual/monthly sales plans aligned to the sector overall monthly targets.
    Provide input to develop demand plans and implement forecasting strategies
    Maintain supplier relations for all brands under the Elevator Department.
  • Develop proactive strategies aimed at retaining and growing customer revenue
  • Conceptualize, present and implement sales strategies that would ensure local/ regional market presence in accordance with company’s goal.
  • Provide fact-based analytical information to support budgets, sales initiatives, and strategic growth initiatives of the company.
  • Monitor competition and internal/ external environment regularly
  • Implement strategies to effectively manage customer accounts.
  • Expansion into Guyana and the English-Speaking Caribbean Region with an additional elevator brand .
  • Work with marketing team to land and monitor marketing initiatives for Elevator Department.
  • Develop training plans for direct reports to build technical capabilities of the elevator department.
  • Manage a team of technicians to execute projects and service withing budget
  • Provide Monthly Project Reports to track costs, profitability in installation and service to come in as close as possible to budgeted/quoted profit projections
  • Implement QA/QC practices and procedures
  • Work with the Customer Experience Group to benchmark the Customer Satisfaction profiles and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction
  • In consultation w the Head of Projects and Engineering, the Elevator Operations Manager can bring forward proposals to re-organize and strengthen the department to achieve the prescribed outcomes
  • Execute work in field in accordance w ANSA MCAL’s HSSE policies
  • Establish cordial and deep relationships w Elevator Suppliers and remove any pain points in supplier relationship
  • Compliance with Ansa McAl Group Policies

Required hands-on, technical, or other types of training to perform the job:

  • Managing a team of Sales Representatives and technicians doing installation and service
  • Ability to forecast sales volumes
  • Exposure to the elevator industry would be Marketing, Sales or Business Administration
  • A background in Engineering will be an asset an asset.
  • Knowledge/Ability to sell and to develop staff.
