ABEL, ANSA McAL Chemicals emerge as finalists in Safety Awards

TWO ANSA McAL Group companies, ABEL and ANSA McAL Chemicals emerged as finalists in the OSHA National Safety Awards on Thursday evening.


 


This was revealed by ABEL General Manager, Jason Mohammed, as he hailed the great efforts of employees and managers in building an enviable safety record at the companies.


 


Speaking Thursday at the starting ceremony for Safety Week activities at ABEL, Mohammed said: “Two of our Group’s companies, ABEL and ANSA McAL Chemicals, were selected as finalists in the National Safety Awards, and the other three were energy companies.”


 


“This alone tells us the level of this achievement and the amount of work you the employees have put into building this enviable safety record we have achieved.”


 


Group HSSE Manager, Nixon Gango also addressed employees, inviting them to view exhibitions and participate in lectures on personal and work health and safety practices.



ABEL is a leading manufacturer of clay and building products and a major exporter to the Caribbean and Latin America. ANSA McAL Chemicals manufactures a number of bleach brands and is also a major supplier of liquid chlorine to the Water and Sewage Authority.  ANSA McAL Chemicals is also a major exporter to the Caribbean and Latin America.
