ANSA Polymer, a division of ANSA Mc AL Limited, located in Arima, is the leading supplier of premium packaging with high quality graphics, garbage bags, industrial films and injected moulded crates and buckets is seeking qualified persons to fill the following vacancy.

The accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively and accurately manages the company’s financial records ensuring the appropriate accounting control and procedures.
Daily Posting all AR entries to General Ledger ensuring that the Receivable Journal agrees to the Distribution to GL trial before Final posting to GL Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports
Effectively and accurately manages the company’s fixed asset register ensuring adherence to Group and International accounting control procedures.
Preparation of monthly and yearly and daily reports for financial statements
Monthly reconciliation of fixed asset registers to general ledger.
Prepares day to day processing of financial transactions to ensure that the company’s financial records are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A professional accounting qualification from a recognized institution.
At least four (4) years experience in a supervisory position or financial accounting position in a manufacturing environment.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working experience with a Financial Accounting package would be an asset.
And / Or two (2) years working experience in the same of similar position
Any similar combination of qualifications and experience.
