The ANSA McAL Group recently launched its commemorative book – THE HISTORY OF THE ANSA McAL GROUP OF COMPANIES – 125 YEARS OF BUSINESS IN THE CARIBBEAN, in collaboration with the Grenada National Museum. Curator of the Museum, Mrs. Pitt, lauded the Group’s acceptance of the invitation to highlight the book in Grenada, whilst imploring other private sector organizations, to follow the ANSA McAL lead, by supporting various local and regional initiatives.

Sector Head, Brewing, and Chairman of Grenada Breweries Limited, Mr. Andrew Sabga, provided an overview of the book, whilst underscoring the importance of ascribing to excellence, ‘Making History is something my father, and founder of ANSA, Dr. Anthony N. Sabga, taught us to always strive to attain, and by extension, this has become the mantra for our Regional success.” Mr. Sabga also advised other private sector organizations, to seize the opportunity to invest in securing their business archives by donating or depositing them in a Heritage.

The feature address was delivered by Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gerry Brooks, who after congratulating the newly elected Government of Grenada, provided a deep insight into the Group’s Corporate Social and Economic activities on the island. Mr. Brooks spoke of the Group’s vision for its involvement in Grenada, ‘Grenada is not just a good place to do business, but it is also an excellent place to live. It is these tangible and non – tangible assets which have assured us of the wisdom of our investments in this country, I speak here of our investments in the Grenada Breweries Limited and Bryden and Minors Limited.’ Mr. Brooks went on to add, ‘as we execute our corporate planning towards vision 2010, our vision is for deeper investment in the Grenadian economy. This may include opportunities, in the Manufacturing, Beverage, Financial Services and Hospitality Sector. Should other opportunities present themselves, we will consider them, in short, with a strong balance sheet; we are open for business’.

The event was hosted by the Grenada National Museum, at the Museum headquarters in St. George’s Grenada.
