The ANSA McAL Group of Companies and the ANSA McAL Foundation, in partnership with the Customs & Excise Division, are donating 700 cases of water to hurricane-ravaged St Lucia.
St Lucia was devastated by Hurricane Tomas three weeks ago and water has since been a scare commodity on the island. The 700 cases of water will fill a 20-foot container which will be transported to St Lucia on the vessel, Bernuth Calypso, on Monday and will arrive in St Lucia the following day.
The shipment is being sent directly to Herman St Helen, Comptroller of Customs, Castries. “The ANSA McAL Group of Companies and the ANSA McAL Foundation will continue to work with governments and stakeholders in assisting our Caribbean neighbours in times of need,” a release from the company’s communications department said.
