ANSA McAL Limited has once again joined with the Tobago Drama Festival Committee by committing its support in the sum of $40, 000. 00 Trinidad and Tobago Dollars as the title sponsor of the ANSA McAL TOBAGO DRAMA FESTIVAL.
And according to the ANSA McAL Group Corporate Communications Manager Nicole Dyer-Griffith the Festival now in its ninth year has traditionally been sponsored by the ANSA McAL Group.
Speaking at the official handing over ceremony Mrs. Dyer-Griffith said entrenched in ANSA McAL’s vision and mission is the principle of creating an environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
She said: “We believe that by supporting the development of the performance arts, we are underscoring our core principles of creativity, and innovation, whilst preserving our intrinsic culturally based expressions.”
Mrs. Dyer-Griffith went on to say that ANSA McAL believes that their continued support of the Tobago Drama Festival, responds to two very significant areas of developmental focus for the Group, which include, Tobago, and our Youth.
The Group’s Corporate Communication Manager presented the cheque to the Festivals co-ordinator Mr. Peter Wheeler Thabiti at a handing over ceremony held at the Tatil Building, Maraval Road, Port of Spian on Monday October 07th 2008.
Among the schools expected to participate in the festival are Roxbough Composite, Speyside High, UWI Sixth Form, Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive and Pentecostal Light and Life Foundation.
The Festival will officially commence on Wednesday October 22nd in Tobago.
