ANSA Technologies Ltd, a subsidiary of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies was recently awarded a major maintenance dredging contract with the Port of Antigua and Barbuda.

The company executed this project with Boskalis, a leading global maritime services company operating in the dredging and inland infra and off-shore energy and R S Hydrographic Services, who specializes in marine and hydrographic surveying. Part of the scope of works included maintenance dredging in St John’s Harbor, including the ‘approach channel’ and the ‘turning basin’ to ensure the safe navigation of vessels in and out of the port. Executive Director, Asma Hosein, who has a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in the Marine Sector and was the lead in this project, is seen here in the photo with Mr Ian Galt, Sector Head, Services.

Work on the project commenced in mid-February and was completed without any cost overruns and well within the timeframe.

The official closing ceremony of the St John’s Harbour Dredging took place on Thursday 9th April 2015 under the auspices of the Prime Minister the Honourable Gaston Browne.
