A SOURCE OF STRENGTH – HAPPY FATHER’S DAY A father is a source of strength, a teacher and a guide, a partner, advisor, and the anchor of the family. On this occasion of Father’s Day, I invite you to reflect on the true meaning of the title ‘Father’. The day has special significance, as I reflect on my father who, many years ago, looked upon a dream and turned it into a reality – I reflect on a quote from Victoria, Queen of England, that reads, “None of you can ever be proud enough of being the child of SUCH a Father who has not his equal in this world-so great, so good, so faultless. Try, all of you, to follow in his footsteps and don’t be discouraged, for to be really in everything like him none of you, I am sure, will ever be. Try, therefore, to be like him in some points, and you will have acquired a great deal.”

TPC LAUNCHES A NEW LOOK T&T
GUARDIAN
On June 10th 2008 the Trinidad Publishing Company Limited launched the new Trinidad & Tobago Guardian to the public, with its new logo, compact size and increased colour capacity, but with the same excellent journalistic expertise to which we have all become accustomed. The new look guardian is designed to appeal to a new demographic – namely young people ages 18-35 years. However, we are careful not to alienate our loyal readers. Commuters and passers by from Sangre Grande to San Fernando were thrilled to receive the first edition of the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian and joined the management and staff on the Brian Lara Promenade as the celebration culminated in dynamic performances by Kees Diefenthaller the Electric Break-dancer and Tassa drummers.
It was an eventful day for everyone. We join the Trinidad Publishing Company in celebrating the launch of the new re-engineered Trinidad and Tobago Guardian.
