
EXPORT OFFICER
Job Summary
Develops and manages export sales and negotiations of accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving sales levels to budget requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
- Research and solicit maintain new accounts
- Achieve sales levels to budget requirements
- Work with marketing staff to help provide press releases to support the market, plan and co-ordinate trade shows, exhibitions and distributor events
- Prepare accurate monthly reports
- Monitor international sales trends and country sales performance
- Recommend product pricing for each export market
- Propose and manage export agency arrangements
- Build good working relationships at all levels within the customer organization
- Manage resources to achieve committed timescales for orders and ensure customer requirements are being met
- Ensure customer satisfaction meet or exceed company targets
- Prepare annual budget and marketing and sales plan for export
- Conduct performance appraisals for staff as required
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
- Perform any other duties as required by the job function.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Management with an emphasis in Marketing and Sales from a recognized tertiary institution
Experience
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in marketing environment, 3 of which should be at a senior level
- Strong track record influencing customer relationships and closing sales
- Supervisory experience will be an asset
Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience

- Ability to create and execute strategic marketing plan
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Must be a team player
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Self motivator
