New Appointments & Promotions: Distribution and Construction Sectors

As part of our commitment to continued leadership growth and succession, we are pleased to announce the following:

Mr. Abdel Ali will undertake the role of Sector Head Designate, to assume the position of Sector Head upon the retirement of the current incumbent, Mr. Fazal Arman in June 2026.

In his present role as Managing Director of AMCO, Abdel has significantly transformed the company into a high-performance organisation with supplier satisfaction levels exceeding ninety percent.

He also brings a wealth of experience with an extensive career spanning more than twenty-five years in FMCG and eighteen years with the ANSA McAL Group.

Abdel will continue to operate as MD of AMCO as he transitions to the helm of the Group’s distribution sector.

Mr. Troy Cadogan has assumed further responsibilities as Head of External Affairs for Guyana in addition to his current role as Managing Director of ANSA McAL Distribution Inc.

He will report directly to Mrs. Frances Bain-Cumberbatch, Chief Legal and External Affairs Officer as part of this new undertaking and will continue to report to the Sector Head of Distribution in his existing capacity.

Troy’s charismatic and exceptional linkages to key stakeholders in Guyana will allow the ANSA McAL Group to accelerate its participation in the fastest-growing economy in the world.

He has played a leadership role in building the Distribution arm in Guyana and with these added duties, will add further value and impact on the wider Group.

Mr. David Sealy has been appointed Managing Director of Bryden Stokes Ltd.

He joined Bryden Stokes six years ago as a Divisional Head and based on his commercial expertise and transformational mindset was posted to ANSA McAL Trading Guyana for four years.

There, he successfully reorganised the Customer Management Division and implemented a data driven channel-based go-to-market (GTM) strategy. During his tenure, David led all commercial divisions of the company and gained considerable experience.

He rejoined Bryden Stokes in Q1 of 2024 to lead and transform the Customer Management Division, a role he held until his promotion to MD.

David brings an expert-level understanding of customer and category fundamentals, as well as a huge level of interest in customer relations and empathetic support to meet and exceed customer needs.

Additionally, we would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Ms. Hima Rhea Singh on her new role as General Manager, ANSA Coatings Limited and Berger Paints Barbados Limited.  She will report directly to Mr. Nicholas Mac Lean, Managing Director, ANSA Coatings Ltd.   

Rhea accepted the role of Interim MD of Bryden Stokes for the past nine months and her exceptional leadership style fostered a positive environment that motivated the team.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Rhea for her contribution to Bryden Stokes.

She is an accomplished professional with over twenty-six years of progressive responsibility in the areas of Business Transformation & Development, Marketing, P&L Ownership, Strategic Planning, Sales & Profit Generation and People Development.  Rhea has a successful history of managing P&Ls to increase revenue and net profit numbers YOY, effectively supporting new product launches and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Adept at managing cross functional teams, Rhea has been effective in formulating marketing strategies and developing key customer touchpoints to improve the overall customer experience.

She holds a BSc in Sociology and Management, as well as an MSc (Distinction) in Marketing from the University of the West Indies.

All appointments are effective January 2025.
