Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
Performs and oversees a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks involving the maintenance, repair and installation of Company’s equipment.
Principal Responsibilities
- Service and maintain plant equipment on a daily basis to ensure optimum efficiency
- Respond efficiently to call-outs when necessary
- Perform installation and commissioning of new equipment and piping systems when required
- Ensure adequate spares for plant and equipment are maintained
- Supervise contracted labor
- Conduct duties related in shut down preparation
- Prepare reports as necessary
- Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained
- Keep a clear a proper log of daily activities
- Act as Supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Superintendent
- Liaise with external customers/contractors and suppliers as necessary
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety, security and ISO standards
- Perform any other duties as required by the job function
Qualifications
- MEEET/EEET Diploma or equivalent combination
Experience
- At least 5 years minimum experience working in the mechanical and/or maintenance environment.
- Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must possess good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- A good safety track record
- Knowledge of Pumps, compressors, piping systems, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and related mechanical equipment
