Tatil and Tatil Life Launch Nationwide Diabetes Corporate Social Initiative

On Thursday 24th October 2019, TATIL and TATIL Life launched their nationwide Diabetes Corporate Social Initiative on the 10th floor Boardroom of the TATIL Building, Maraval Road, Port of Spain.

With over 422 million people worldwide living with diabetes, and the disease threatening the public health and economies of some countries in the region, TATIL and TATIL Life have adopted an educational stance about Diabetes, as one of their Corporate Social Initiatives.

Chairman of TATIL and TATIL Life, Mr. Ray A. Sumairsingh, in his opening remarks said, “The private sector can drive awareness at a different level, that is why the ANSA McAL insurance companies, which are major financial institutions, have made the decision to lead the way in highlighting this specific disease.”

Attending the launch was Minister of Health, the Honourable Terrence Deyalsingh along with President of the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Andrew Dhanoo. Also, in attendance were executives from the ANSA McAL Group of Companies, TATIL and TATIL Life.

Minister Deyalsingh commended TATIL and TATIL Life for adopting the Diabetes Awareness initiative. He went on to say that the only way to combat this disease which affects thousands of citizens, was through awareness and encouraging citizens to adopt healthier active lifestyles.

Throughout the month of November, which is internationally recognized as Diabetes Awareness Month, TATIL and TATIL Life will embark on a number of initiatives along with the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago, to promote Diabetes Awareness
