Technician III
Job Summary
To oversee and execute the maintenance program of the company in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner in order to maximize plant and equipment reliability
Principal Responsibilities
- Install and set up equipment as required
- Calibrate instruments according to ISO procedure
- Respond efficiently to call outs when necessary
- Conduct electrical testing of equipment and installation in accordance with electrical standards and PM schedules
- Perform troubleshooting as required
- Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained
- Keep a clear a proper log of daily activities
- Prepare reports as required
- Supervision of contracted labour
- Conduct low and medium voltage checks on electrical systems
- Conduct duties related in shut down preparation
- Ensure adequate spares for plant and equipment are maintained
- Liaise with external customers/contractors and suppliers as necessary
- To supervise Electrical and Instrumentation staff daily
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety, security and ISO standards
- Perform any other duties as required by the job function
Qualification
- EEET/ MEEET Diploma
- Instrument Technician Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- At least 5 years hands on experience working in the electrical and instrumentation field
Or any equivalent experience of qualification and experienc
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- (1) Good verbal and written communication skills.
- (2) Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- (3) Knowledge of instrument industrial electrical, valves and actuators, calibration
- (4) Motivated, flexible and ability to take initiative
- (5) Ability to work iunsupervised or in a team
- (6) Ability to supervise staff
