In 1986, the ANSA Group injected $30 million into McEnearney Alstons Limited (now called ANSA McAL Limited) and in 1990 it invested another $10 million to acquire a further 10 million shares. The ANSA Group’s investment represented fresh capital rather than the purchase of existing shares.
