We are pleased to announce the appointment of M. Musa Ibrahim as Sector Head – Insurance, effective 1 June 2026.

This appointment underscores the strategic importance of the Insurance portfolio to the Group’s long-term growth agenda. In his new role, Musa will have direct accountability for driving performance and executing growth initiatives across the Group’s insurance businesses in Trinidad and Barbados, comprising TATIL, TATIL Life, COLFIRE, and Trident Insurance.

As Sector Head – Insurance, Musa will focus on shaping and executing a unified strategic vision, optimising the Group’s insurance portfolio, and strengthening governance frameworks to support sustainable growth and enhanced shareholder value.

Mr. Ibrahim has a deep and longstanding connection to the ANSA McAL Group, having joined in 2003 within the Banking sector. In 2011, he was appointed Managing Director of TATIL, where he successfully expanded market share and transformed the general insurance business into a significant contributor to the Group’s profitability. He was subsequently appointed Managing Director of TATIL & TATIL Life in 2021, and following the acquisition of COLFIRE in 2023, his portfolio expanded to include executive oversight of COLFIRE’s integration into the ANSA McAL Group.

Under his leadership, the Insurance sector has strengthened its market position, enhanced operational efficiency, and delivered consistent, sustainable profitability across all entities, while effectively navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and operating environment. He has driven strategic alignment across the portfolio, accelerated digital and operational transformation, and unlocked synergies across the businesses, positioning the sector for continued long-term growth.
