Job Summary:

• The Accountant will be required to prepare, develop and analyze accounting information and provide high quality support to management, and/or officers of the Company.

Job Description:

• Ensure efficient month end close and preparation of accurate monthly financial statements, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciles monthly.
• Preparation and calculation of annual budgets and performance management.
• Manage the Year End Audit.
• Prepare audit schedules for ANSA McAL (Barbados) and its Subsidiaries Consolidation, prepare the financial statements and manage audit queries.
• Review the monthly bank reconciliations.
• Review the Quarterly financial reporting.
• Review corporate tax returns and vat returns.
• Prepare and processes journals for the general ledger for Joint Venture.
• Review and approve payment of vendor invoices.
• Review account registers and schedules.
• Review accounting for expense reports and other accounting transactions.
• Provide support and information to Management Team.
• Comply with Group’s processes and policies as set out and stated in the ANSA McAL Blue Book.
• Any other duties, which may be assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• ACCA or CPA qualified.
• At least five (5) years of experience in accounting, with two (2) years of experience at a supervisory level.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy; competent in ERP, Microsoft Office.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Must be able to function under pressure, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
