Senior Wealth Manager

Functional Assignments:
Responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and retention of Assets Under Management (AUM) for ANSA Wealth Management Limited (AWML) suite of products and services, including High Net Worth (HNW) discretionary management services, customized portfolios, non-discretionary portfolios and Mutual Funds. The incumbent shall manage a team of Wealth Managers and ensure that annual sales targets are met for each product and service line by ensuring the unit develops and maintains an active pipeline of potential clients and delivers quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer all AWML investment solutions to both existing and prospective clients in keeping with AWML’s policy and procedure to achieve set sales and service targets
- Strategically creates plans to grow the client base, increase assets under management, and increase share of wallet for existing clients through collaboration with and referrals to ABL/AMBL
- Consult clients and prospects to understand their risk tolerance, investment strategies, and financial goals and work closely with clients to provide customized recommendations to help them meet their financial goals
- Build strong long-term client relationships by maintaining client contact, keeping clients abreast of their investment performance, facilitate semi-annual and/or annual portfolio reviews with clients and conducting client presentations from time to time
- Coach and mentor direct reports to foster a high-performance culture
- Train and develop subordinates
- Conduct client education seminars
- Participate in market research, and sales events to increase brand awareness
- Assist in new product conceptualization and design
- Works collaboratively with Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts to create client investment portfolios
- Keeps abreast with news, market trends and competitor information
Education & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Business or Finance
- Advanced knowledge of capital markets, investment products, asset allocation strategies, risk/return, yield curve and portfolio allocation
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience selling investments in the financial services environment with a proven track record for growing the customer base
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in leading a sales team, with a proven track record for growing the customer base for financial products and services
- Certified Financial Planner or Advisor certification will be an asset
- Specialized training and experience in marketing of financial products would be an asset
- A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
Business/Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of financial markets and investment assets (bonds, equity etc)
- Robust understanding of risk assessment
- Exceptional selling, negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
- Able to recommend solutions based on investor needs and risk tolerance
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Communication skills: – Presentation; Reading; Comprehension; Writing; Oral communication; Converses in a highly persuasive manner
- Quantitative skills: – Numerical reasoning; Arithmetic computation; Using tables and graphs
