How ANSA McAL Got Here
This award shines a spotlight on some of the Group’s standout projects that deliver environmental and social benefits in addition to economic returns such as:
- Circular Economy: Carib Brewery which has been operating a returnable bottle business model for over 75 years, recently invested in a new state of the art returnable bottling line to meet increasing local as well as export demand. This line is highly efficient, using less water and energy and produces less waste. This new line supports the growth objectives in the Beverage Sector and makes our brewery very attractive to international strategic partners.
- Climate Change Mitigation at Scale: ANSA Packaging’s Carib Glassworks has earned GHG Scope 1 & 2 Footprint, GHG Scope 3 Footprint and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Approved badges from the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (LOCT) These badges validate the rigorous measurement of Carib Glassworks’ carbon footprint in line with science-based targets in support of the Paris Agreement. Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (Supplier LOCT) is an educational platform for suppliers and a company collaborative for their buyers (LOCT partners).
