ANSA McAL leaps $2


Overall Market activity resulted from trading in six securities of which one advanced, none declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 174,073 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $3,035,666.35. National Commercial Bank Jamaica was the volume leader with 101,000 shares changing hands for a value of $146,440.00, followed by ANSA McAL with a volume of 53,545 shares being traded for $2,310,922.25. ANSA Merchant Bank contributed 16,738 shares with a value of $526,862.50, while Guardian Holdings Ltd added 2,112 shares valued at $27,033.60.


ANSA McAL enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $2.00 to end the day at $44.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 5,000 shares valued at $17,494.06. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.49. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.11. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $62.51. The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.52. National Commercial Bank (Jamaica) Limited has advised December 7th, a shareholder connected to a director of the company sold 1,500,000 shares.
