The ANSA McAL Group has taken a bold step in shaping the future of work, becoming the first large-scale enterprise based in the English-speaking Caribbean to introduce AI across its Human Resources ecosystem.

This initiative is a cornerstone of ANSA McAL’s HR Strategy, designed to modernise infrastructure, attract and retain top talent, and transform the employee experience. By embedding an AI-powered digital assistant/chatbot and advanced Generative AI technologies within its Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, ANSA McAL is creating an HR ecosystem that is smarter, faster, and more connected—supporting the Group’s 2X Growth ambition to double scale and impact by 2027.

Transforming the Employee Experience

Employees can now interact with HR in intuitive, conversational ways—asking natural-language questions and receiving instant responses. The AI chatbot delivers personalised learning recommendations, career insights, and faster access to HR information, empowering employees to take charge of their careers, growth, and wellbeing.

Accelerating Talent and Leadership Development

Generative AI enhances recruitment, performance management, and succession planning. From drafting job descriptions and screening applicants to generating interview questions and surfacing talent insights, these tools give managers access to real-time workforce analytics and support smarter team alignment. This shift enables leaders to spend more time coaching and driving business results.

Driving Efficiency and Business Value

For the Group, AI-powered HR innovation delivers greater agility, scalability, and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving talent market. Routine tasks, such as applicant screening, drafting job descriptions, handling payslip queries, and responding to policies, are now automated, reducing manual work and accelerating response times. This allows HR teams to focus on strategic priorities while enabling managers to make faster, data-driven decisions that connect people to performance.

Partnership with HRIZONS

The launch was delivered in collaboration with HRIZONS, a leading SAP SuccessFactors partner. Jim Newman, President & CEO of HRIZONS, said:
“ANSA’s ambitious HR technology journey continues to evolve. We applaud their trailblazing work in the Caribbean as they realise their ‘people first’ agenda.”

Leadership Perspective

Faheem Mohammed, Group Chief Shared Services Officer at ANSA McAL, emphasised that the launch is not just a digital transformation milestone, but a cultural shift in how the Group empowers its people.

“This is more than a technology upgrade—it is a reimagining of how HR powers our people and performance,” Mohammed said. “It allows us to respond to employees’ needs faster, anticipate workforce challenges, and unlock insights that strengthen our talent advantage. By pioneering this capability in the English-speaking Caribbean, ANSA McAL is not just keeping pace with global innovation—we are setting the pace for the region.”
