Over four hundred and nine employees of the ANSA McAL Group were honoured at the company’s “Stronger Together” Long Service Awards ceremony, held at Queen’s Hall, Port of Spain on Friday 6th July 2018. This year, the Group celebrated over ten thousand, six hundred and sixty years of collective service in the Automotive, Manufacturing, Beverage, Distribution, Financial, Retail and Services Sectors.
Executive Chairman, Mr. A. Norman Sabga paid tribute to awardees celebrating 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service and called on them to continue to be leaders in their communities and ambassadors of the conglomerate.
In his welcome address Mr. Sabga stated, “The Group’s future can only be as good as the collective effort, commitment and ambition from its employees. He quoted from the ANSA McAL pledge saying, “We, the ANSA McAL Family proudly proclaim the commitment to the timeless values that built this great Caribbean enterprise, and continue to be guided and inspired by the enduring principles of hard work, trust, integrity, respect and the relentless pursuit of excellence”.
Ms. Teresa White, Group HR Director, delivered appreciation remarks saying, “A lot of what makes us STRONGER TOGETHER, is the shared understanding of our history and our role in ensuring our legacy for years to come.”
Amongst the Group’s Long Service awardees were Mr. Andrew Sabga, ANSA McAL’s Chief Executive Officer who celebrated 20 years of service; Mr. Jerome Borde, Sector Head – Automotive who attained 30 years of service and Mr. Nabeel Hadeed, Director of the ANSA McAL Foundation as well as an Executive Director at TATIL.
Guests were entertained by the world-renowned Lydian Singers and captivated by the dance moves of DREN. ANSA Automotive’ s very own Marlene Felix paid tribute in song to friends and colleagues of the Group who passed away.
The evening ended with a reception for all awardees in the courtyard of Queen’s Hall hosted by Mr A. Norman Sabga, Executive Chairman.
