Yesterday the Group’s television station CNC3 formally announced its intention of broadcasting nationally from September 1, 2008, at a breakfast launch hosted at the Movie Towne Cineplex.
The station will be repositioning its news and current affairs format to include more diverse programming. Based on the national demographics, the station intends to also attract the high consumers of goods and services, working mothers, decision makers, youth, new home owners and trendsetters. The new slogan “CNC3….Your News, Sport and Entertainment Channel” was also revealed.
Speaking at the launch, assistant general manager Cyntra Achong said, “What this means for us is that almost overnight, CNC3 will be accessible into twice as many homes than at present. In other words…. CNC3 will be ‘free to air’ …. Anywhere.”
Among the specially invited guests and prospective advertisers were Norman Sabga, ANSA McAL Group Chairman and CEO and Gerry brooks, Chief Operating Officer of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies.
They were joined by Managing Director for TPCL Grenfrell Kissoon, CNC3 Board Director Maria Superville-Neilson and TPCL board members Diane Chatoor and Gilbert Peterson, SC.
The new sales team includes Marketing Manager George Elias, Marketing Coordinator Kavita Kissoon, Paula Rode-Vieira, Kai Maloney, Jennifer Hosam, Janine Superville and Aynsley Pierre.
