Ms. Debbie Jacob, Librarian and Teacher, receives a cheque from Ms. Sharon Balroop, ANSA McAL’s Group Communications Manager towards books for her History class at the Port of Spain Prison.

The ANSA McAL Group through its Corporate Communications Department is pleased to sponsor copies of Debbie Jacob’s book titled “Making Waves: How the West Indies Shaped the (US) towards her C.X.C Caribbean History class for the inmates of the Port of Spain Prison. Ms. Jacob, is also the founder of the Wishing for Wings Foundation, a Librarian at the International School, Port of Spain, former school teacher and author.

In 2010 she entered the gates of the Youth Training Centre (YTC), the remand centre for boys in Trinidad and Tobago to teach English. That move changed the lives of the young men forever.

Debbie has been teaching at the Port of Spain prison for over five years.

ANSA McAL commends Ms. Jacobs for the unyielding commitment to her vision and remarkable selflessness in assisting inmates towards education and productivity.
