We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gerhard Pettier as Managing Director of Guardian Media Limited (GML), effective November 1, 2024.

Gerhard joined GML as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary in June 2021 and has served as Acting Managing Director since December 2023.

He brings with him twenty-five years of extensive experience in financial and risk management, including more than fourteen years in senior executive roles within ANSA McAL, spanning sectors such as Manufacturing, Retail, Construction, Distribution, and Media.

Gerhard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, and is a Fellow Chartered and Certified Accountant as well as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad & Tobago.

In his official role, Gerhard will lead GML’s strategic vision and operational objectives, guiding the company towards sustainable growth and continued industry leadership.
