As ANSA McAL continues its path towards continued leadership and growth in our business sectors, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Ms. Padma De Lima as General Manager of ANSA McAL Distribution Inc., Guyana, effective 1st March 2026. She will report directly to the Managing Director of ANSA McAL Trading Guyana.
Ms. De Lima will have overall responsibility for the company’s operational functions, providing strategic leadership to enhance operational efficiency and support the continued growth and success of the organisation.
Armed with a Diploma in Marketing and a BSc in Business Management from the University of Guyana and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, Padma also completed the JMW Leadership Program, further enhancing her leadership skills.
She joined the Group in 2009 with oversight of Consumer Food and Household, a role she held for two years. She then moved within the ANSA McAL Trading to the construction division, where she served as Construction Manager for a further two years.
In 2016, she was appointed Business Unit Head for Procter & Gamble (P&G), where she played a key role in strengthening the company’s partnership within the portfolio. Under her leadership, the company achieved back-to-back Distributor of the Year awards for LANMAR and the Caribbean Market, coupled with Best-in-Class Execution for the Caribbean for three consecutive years.
Between 2021 and 2022, Ms. De Lima served as Head of Sales of Key Accounts, where she successfully implemented a modern trade structure and drove an impressive 25 per cent growth.
In 2022, she was appointed to Divisional Head – Food and Consumer, where she has been instrumental in strengthening several of the company’s top-performing brands, driving sales growth, improving market execution, and building stronger relationships with key customers and partners.
With over seventeen years of experience within the ANSA McAL Group, Padma brings extensive commercial expertise, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the business. Her appointment reflects the company’s continued commitment to developing and recognizing internal talent.
