TECHNICIAN II

Job Summary

Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks involving the maintenance, repair and installation of Company’s equipment.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Service and maintain plant equipment on a daily basis to ensure optimum efficiency
   
   
2. Respond efficiently to call-outs when necessary
   
   
3. Perform installation and commissioning of new equipment and piping systems when required
   
   
4. Conduct low voltage checks for both electrical and instrumentation
   
   
5. Ensure adequate spares for plant and equipment are maintained
   
   
6. Supervision of contracted labor
   
   
7. Conduct duties related in shut down preparation
   
   
8. Prepare reports as necessary
   
   
9. Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained
   
   
10. Keep a clear a proper log of daily activities
    
    
11. Liaise with external customers/contractors and suppliers as necessary
    
    
12. Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety, security and ISO standards
    
    
13. Perform any other duties as required by the job function

Qualifications             

1. MEEET/EEET Diploma or equivalent combination

Experience

1. At least 3 years minimum experience working in the mechanical and/or electrical environment.
   Or any equivalent combination of qualification and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Must possess good interpersonal skills
   
   
2. Ability to work independently or in a team
   
   
3. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
   
   
4. A good safety track record
   
   
5. Knowledge of Pumps, compressors, piping systems, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and related mechanical equipment will be an asset
