The ANSA McAL Group congratulates the United Nations on its 75th anniversary and for their appreciation of the role that the Group is playing in embracing Goal 17 of the SDG’s – ‘Partnership for the Goals’. We recognise that the world today needs a more inclusive form of capitalism that combines our environment, social and economic needs. This ambition cannot be achieved by one business acting alone but requires the building of strong partnerships with civil society, governments and business.
The ANSA McAL Group recognises this first modern pandemic. We are thriving in the age of disruption and in our hemisphere, we are playing a part in shaping the future of the Caribbean. We are driven to make a positive impact, not only on our business, but in our communities and the diaspora. Our world initiative ONE CARIBBEAN. ONE FUTURE. ONE YARD virtual benefit concert, driven by the Group, is aimed at providing access to remote learning for every child in the Caribbean. The change to the ‘new normal’ for students attending schools virtually has been a challenge across the Caribbean and we must do all we can to alleviate this crisis. As such, through the ANSA McAL Foundation (est. 1993), we have created the ONE CARIBBEAN FUTURE FUND that will be used solely towards technology to support home-based learning.
We will not fail in the providing a future for our Caribbean.
