This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting aligned with Group standards, IFRS/IAS frameworks, and statutory requirements. By partnering with internal stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance, the Management Accountant enables sound decision‑making and supports continuous operational and financial improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts aligned with Group reporting cycles.
  • Lead month‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and control.
  • Maintain strong audit trails and support governance requirements through well‑structured documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate reconciliations and schedules.

Financial Analysis & Insight

  • Analyze performance vs. budget/forecast and identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop management reports, dashboards, and insights for operational and strategic leaders.
  • Translate financial trends into meaningful recommendations for business improvement.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budget preparation and forecasting cycles.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure alignment of assumptions with business strategy.
  • Manage budget uploads and data integrity within ERP and Group systems.

Inventory Accounting & Costing

  • Oversee inventory costing, reconciliation, valuation, and reporting in accordance with IAS 2 and Group policy.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to validate stock quantities, movements, and costing structures.
  • Monitor inventory provisions and ensure the accuracy of costing methods and data flows.

Compliance, Risk & Statutory Reporting

  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of tax and regulatory filings including VAT/GCT and other statutory submissions.
  • Maintain compliance with Group accounting policies and local regulatory standards.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through strong internal controls.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Coach, mentor, and supervise the Accounting Associate and Accounting Analysts.
  • Support performance development through ongoing feedback and technical guidance.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, and IT.

Technology, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., D365) to improve reporting accuracy, data integrity, and financial oversight.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance control, and reduce inefficiency.
  • Promote digital literacy and data-driven decision-making within the finance function.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • ACCA or CIMA qualifications required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Training in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, IFRS/IAS standards, tax law, ERP systems, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, costing, inventory management, and audit support.
