ANSA McAL Strengthens Sustainability Integration Through New Group-Wide Policy

The ANSA McAL Group of Companies has strengthened its commitment to sustainable business practices with the introduction of its Sustainability Policy Statement, a key step in further embedding sustainability into the Group’s strategy, operations and decision-making processes.

Guided by its purpose, “Inspiring Better Choices for a Better World,” the Statement formalises ANSA McAL’s commitment to creating long-term value through responsible governance, environmental stewardship, stakeholder engagement and the development of its people.

The Statement reinforces the Group’s commitment to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles throughout its businesses and investment decisions, while aligning with internationally recognised sustainability standards and best practices.

“The Sustainability Policy Statement represents another important step in ANSA McAL’s journey to embed sustainability throughout the organisation,” said Melanie Richards, Head of Sustainability and Social Investment at ANSA McAL Limited. “It articulates our commitment to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance principles into our businesses, helping us create long-term value while strengthening accountability, resilience and positive impact across our operations.“

It outlines ANSA McAL’s commitment to continuously assessing and managing sustainability-related risks and opportunities, recognising the connection between strong sustainability performance, business resilience and long-term financial success. It also reflects the Group’s focus on understanding and managing the impacts of its operations on both people and the planet.

Through the Statement, the Group reaffirms its commitment to building internal capacity and empowering employees to champion sustainability across its operations and within their communities. It also reinforces ANSA McAL’s dedication to transparency, accountability and responsible growth across its diverse portfolio of businesses.

“Sustainability is becoming increasingly embedded in how we operate as an organisation,” added Richards. “This Statement provides a clear foundation for continued progress as we work to create lasting value for our stakeholders while supporting sustainable development across the Caribbean and beyond.“

The Sustainability Policy Statement forms part of ANSA McAL’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into its corporate culture and business practices, ensuring the Group remains well-positioned to address emerging challenges and opportunities while delivering long-term value.
