ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

JOB SUMMARY:  

Responsible for the Accounts Payable function for the company

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 

1. Record all vendor invoices and payment vouchers into Magaya.
2. Prepare and distribute approved cheque and wire transfer payments.
3. Address queries re vendor payments
4. Conduct petty-cash function for respective office and prepare reimbursement requests.
5. Prepare analyses and reports as required
6. Prepare assigned reconciliations and resolve open items
7. Super User function re Magaya System

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

JOB SUMMARY:  

Performs the Financial Accounting function for Customs Brokerage services and submits Statements for reimbursement to Customs Brokerage clients. Performs the Financial Accounting function for Misc. Vessels and prepares payments to Local Principals

1. Preparation of Statement of Accounts re Misc. Vessels using Magaya data
2. Prepare assigned reconciliations and resolve open items using Magaya data
3. Compute agency and other fees/commissions re Misc. Vessels using Magaya data
4. Prepare cheque payments/submissions for Local Principals
5. Handle all Misc. Vessels related queries
6. Issue statements from Magaya on a weekly basis for Ansa McAL Group companies re Custom Brokerage Services, in tandem with reimbursement request or upon general request.
7. Liaising with Ansa McAL Group Companies for remittance of funds as per Service Level Agreement
8. Monitoring of account balances to ensure that an adequate level of cash cover is maintained
9. Prepare monthly Group Inter-company confirmations for all accounts and assist with Accounts Receivable duties as necessary.
10. Monitor and ensure accuracy of the monthly Forex calculation in Magaya
11. Data entry for in respective system

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Level II CAT or Level I ACCA
• 3 years of accounting experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Effective business communication skills
