Job Summary

This role will be responsible for managing the payroll and AP functions while providing essential support to the Senior Accountant. Ensuring all accounts are up to date with no late or delayed payments is crucial to this position.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll:

• Process payroll by verifying, calculating, and inputting employee pay and deductions, and generating appropriate documentation.
• Maintain the confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
• Follow up on payroll-related matters with employees and supervisors.
• Prepare statutory and other deductions, summarize and submit for payment.
• Prepare payroll reports for submission to Human Resources and Senior Management.

Accounts Payables:

• Manage the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions.
• Communicate with vendors to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Perform vendor reconciliation.
• Generate monthly Accounts Payable reports.
• Ensure that the Account Payable Subledger and General Ledger are reconciled with no reconciling items older than one month.
• File company documents.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1- 2 years in a similar position.

Knowledge

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Proven experience in payroll and accounts payable functions.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
